Business Development Manager

Adviso is looking for an experienced person to assume responsibility for business development within its sales team.

Thanks to your leadership skills, determination and well-developed network, you understand how to build new relationships and generate sales from new customers. In addition to knowing how to transform your listening skills and understanding of customer needs into business and sales opportunities, you are able to develop the best strategies for reaching specific objectives while taking Adviso’s development and growth priorities into consideration. By keeping up to date on competitors, trends and market conditions, you design and operationalize the most effective business development and sales tactics.

A typical day will involve:

  • Generating business opportunities, both within Quebec and in the rest of Canada, by analyzing markets and clients’ financial means (prospecting, calls for proposals, cold calling)
  • Demonstrating your ingenuity and efficacy in the creation of strategies and tactics for business and sales development
  • Meeting with potential clients while participating in networking events and activities (conferences, forums, industry events, trade shows, evening networking events, etc.)
  • Deploying every effort necessary to pursue and achieve business goals as well as performance indicators deemed essential to ensure Adviso’s growth (client satisfaction, margins and revenue)
  • Aligning client needs with Adviso’s products and services
  • Building a high-performance team by identifying the best experts for promoting sales
  • Mastering presentation, storytelling and conversational techniques while understanding how to adapt your discourse based on the person(s) you are addressing
  • Having a good understanding of the context in which agencies and advertisers (in Quebec and the rest of Canada) are operating and how this relates to Adviso’s business offering
  • Working in close collaboration and synergistically with internal teams (experts and the advisory group)
  • Evaluating agreements and negotiating them effectively
  • Inspiring trust and demonstrating credibility to all stakeholders

This professional challenge is for you if you have: 

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the field of selling digital solutions (media, customer experience (CX), content marketing, analytics and data science, etc.)
  • An undergraduate degree in business administration with a focus in marketing or the equivalent
  • A well-established network of contacts in Quebec and the rest of Canada
  • A very good understanding of the business, digital and technological consulting industry
  • A love of challenges, taking the initiative and being proactive
  • An unflagging determination, very well-developed business acumen and a results-focused approach
  • An understanding of how to manage and use a CRM
  • A good grasp of the Google suite of tools
  • An excellent grasp of French and English, both oral and written, is necessary to ensure effective interactions with our national and international customers, as well as to ensure optimal management of content and tools in our day-to-day operations, and to foster technological innovation in our areas of expertise
