Director, Data Collection and Engineering

Adviso is searching for a Director of Data Collection and Engineering for its Customer Data and Experience department. This person will be responsible for managing data engineering teams and will work closely with our Data Intelligence and Activation Practice Director in order to generate value for our clients.

A typical week will involve:

Managing great people and demonstrating leadership

  • Managing and motivating data collection and data engineering teams
  • Creating a work environment in sync with our company values, where each member of the team can actively contribute to achieving common objectives
  • Training high-performance teams while fostering each member’s sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Managing complex situations that arise with both employees and clients
  • Resolving issues while accepting responsibility for the consequences of certain decisions

Evolving our expertise

  • Managing all aspects of data collection and engineering
  • Deploying and optimizing efficient processes in production management and quality control, and ensuring those processes are adopted
  • Ensuring our analytics practice remains competitive within the marketplace
  • Ensuring maintenance of our industry certifications: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Cloud, Snowflake
  • Identifying new analytics technologies, methodologies, or practices that will enable our clients to achieve their objectives
  • Designing product or service strategies as well as the road map to operationalize those strategies

Supporting the development of our business 

  • Supporting the Sales and Advisory Group teams with project evaluations and business development
  • Developing a vision and new services for generating growth (revenue)
  • Ensuring the profitability and cost-efficiency of the team
  • Interpreting financial performance indicators and making informed decisions based on your observations
  • Using your knowledge of the marketplace and the competition to evolve our service goals
  • Anticipating future possibilities and translating them into strategies to grow our services
  • Contributing to the promotion of adviso within the industry through a variety of channels: blog articles, webinars, industry panels, etc.
  • Establishing solid relationships with clients and offering them solutions that are adapted to their needs

This professional challenge is for you if you have: 

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in data collection and engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in team management
  • A good understanding of data analytics and market trends
  • A good grasp of the following technologies: Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, Snowflake
  • A good understanding of Customer Data Platform technologies (Segment, Adobe RealTime CDP, etc.)
  • A mastery of French and English, both oral and written, which is required for effective interaction with our national and international clientele, as well as to ensure the optimal  management of content and tools used as part of our daily operations and to promote technological innovation within our fields of expertise 
  • The right to work in Canada and a willingness to work in hybrid mode
