Instagram Announces the Release of its New Business Tools
It has been a few months since we started hearing about the coming of professional accounts on Instagram. Finally, more details have recently been released.
What will the business accounts look like?
Brands profiles will have access to 3 new features:
- Call to action buttons, to contact via email, phone or text message, and get directions
- The ability to promote
- Instagram Insights

The most interesting novelty for brands is the deployment of statistical insights on the platform.
It will be possible to decrypt the socio-demographic data: geographic location (country and city), sex, age, and number of new followers on a week as well as the best time of publication for your content. Quite just like Facebook Insights, as expected! 😉

Also, a new analytical feature dedicated to publications will provide statistics on organic reach, number of clicks on the link of the account and the best weekly/monthly publications.
What about statistics on the filters? They are an important parameter on this application, following a trend and increasing engagement according to design agencies and influencers. It would be a nice option to consider.
Last important point, it will now be possible for brands to easily manage ads without leaving the platform.
Instagram promises the new business features will be available in Canada somewhere before the end of 2016, so have patience. Meanwhile, get familiar with the new features by watching the tutorial.
